Who is your role model?
My role model will have to be my mother. She was such a strong and independent woman that no matter what life threw at her she never gave up and always pushed through. These traits were instilled in me and are what drives me every day.
What can we expect coming in the future for Desmaria Love?
Definitely expect tons of more products in the next year. We are working really hard to create great formulas for you guys. That's why it's been taking us a while but definitely stay tuned for that. We are also going to be coming out with great new content that will help us build our community, especially our Latino community.
What is something you would’ve done differently for your business?
Something I'd say I would have done differently is budget myself a bit better. I wish I would have started bookkeeping sooner and come up with an estimated startup cost instead of just investing in things randomly.
What is something you wish you knew before running your own business?
I wish I would have known more about social media marketing and how complicated it would have been as a small business. If I would have known that I would have set my social media accounts in a better way since the beginning instead of solving these problems now as I go.
What are some goals you have for the business?
I really want to grow my product line. I’d say that's my first goal. I really want to have a whole line very soon. But long term I just want to be able to help people with curly hair embrace their true selves. Finally I also want everyone around the world to be using Desmaria Love and loving it!
